You use the Export Model dialog box to export a model (and optionally, its referenced and dependent models) to a compressed zip file on the file system.

You display the Export Model dialog box in one of the following ways:

  • Open the model you want to export and choose   Model   Export  .

  • From the Manage task panel, browse to the model to be exported and choose Export Model from its context menu.

The Export Model dialog box contains the following items:

Model

Displays the name of the active model to be exported, in the format <software component>/<development component>/<model name>.

Export dependent models

Exports the component together with all its dependent components. If left unselected, only the top-level model is exported, without its dependent components.

Export

Starts the export process, and opens a dialog box in which you specify the location in which to save the exported file.
