The Manage Services dialog box contains two tabs: Alias Manager and Service References.

The Alias Manager tab displays a table that lists all the system aliases used in the model, along with their details. You use the Alias Manager tab to review the back-end systems from which you have added the data services in a model and rename the system aliases if required. To change a system alias, you check its row and click Replace.

Note Note

You can use the Alias Manager tab when system aliases have been changed or when a model is ported between servers that have different aliases for the same back-end systems.

You display the Manage Services dialog box by choosing   Tools   Manage Services  .

The Manage Services menu item is available only when a model that contains at least one data service is open.

The Alias Manager tab of the Manage Services dialog box contains the following items:

Description

Select

Displays a menu containing a separate item for each alias listed in the table. You can choose an item from the menu to select all instances of the specified alias in the list.

Show aliases in all open models

Displays all aliases used in all open models, not only in the currently-active model.

Select All

Selects all the aliases in the list.

Clear All

Deselects all the aliases in the list.

Alias

The alias currently defined for the system in NetWeaver Administrator.

Used in

The name of the component that contains a data service within the named system.

Used by

The name of the data service.

System Type

The type of system that contains the data service.

Replace

Displays a dialog box, in which you enter the new system alias with which you want to replace the selected system alias(es).
