To view the Visual Composer models in your current Developer Studio workspace, you must use the Model Browser. It provides you with a hierarchical view of development components and models in your local development configuration track and those that are synchronized from your NWDI development configuration track.

In addition, you can:

  • Open a model

  • View properties of any development component

  • Refresh the state of any NWDI development component or model

  • Create and use working sets

  • Search for models in your current workspace

  • Check out models present in source control

  • Delete models present in local repository

  • Build development components

Prerequisites

You have opened the Visual Composer perspective in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.

Procedure

Opening a Model

In the Model Browser, double-click the required model.

Viewing Properties of a Development Component
  1. In the Model Browser, click the required development component with the secondary mouse button and choose   Development Component   Show In   Component Properties.  

  2. In the Component Properties window, view the details of the selected development component or model.

Refreshing the NWDI Development Component or Model

To obtain the latest state of a development component or model, in the Model Browser, click the required development component with the secondary mouse button and choose Refresh.

Creating a Working Set
  1. In the Model Browser, choose   Menu   Select Working Set.  

  2. In the Select Working Set dialog box, choose New.

    1. Select the Visual Composer components and models for the working set.

      Note Note

      If you select a model, the corresponding development component is automatically selected.

    2. Specify a name for the working set.

    3. Choose Finish.

    4. To create multiple working sets, repeat step 2.

  3. Select the required working sets.

  4. Choose OK.

    The Model Browser displays only the elements of the working sets.

    Note Note

    To deselect all working sets in the Model Browser, choose   Menu   Deselect Working Set.

Searching for a Model
  1. In the Model Browser, choose the Model Finder.

  2. In the Find Model dialog box, specify a model name or enter a wildcard character (“*” or “?”).

  3. Choose OK.

Note Note

If working sets are selected in the Model Browser, then the scope of the search is restricted to the elements of the working sets.
