To allow other users to work with a development component, you must create it in source control.
You have imported a development configuration and are logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI).
You have opened the Visual Composer perspective in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio.
Choose
Select the Software Component (SC) to which you want to assign the DC.
Choose Next.
In the New Development Component window, specify the details as explained in the following table.

Optional: To store the development component in the local system temporarily and it to source control later, select the Keep Local option. Click Finish.

Choose Next.
You can do one of the following:
Select an existing activity
Create a new activity
Choose Create Activity.
In the New Activity dialog box, enter the name and description.
Choose OK.
Note
SAP recommends that you create a new activity.
Choose Finish.
Choose
In the Open Activities window, click the activity with the secondary mouse button and choose Checkin.
In the Check-in Activity dialog box, choose OK.
To activate the activity, in the Activate Option dialog box, choose Yes.
