Deactivating a Change List Transport (ES Repository) 

Use

If a software component version is assigned to an XI track in CMS, in the default setting, you can release change lists of this software component version in the ES Builder to enable them to be transported by using CMS: Once released, the open change lists of the software component version have the status transportable and can be transported later by using CMS.

If you do not want change lists to be transported by using CMS, you can deactivate this option for the selected software component versions. CMS transports using transport lists or transports using the file system are not affected by this setting, however.

Prerequisites

The software component version for which you want to deactivate the change-list-transport option has been assigned an XI track in CMS.

       1.      Call the start page of the ES Builder and choose Administration.

       2.      Choose the Repository tab page on the left-hand side.

       3.      Choose CMS transport settings in the navigation area on the left-hand side.

       4.      The system displays a table containing all the software component versions that are assigned to a particular XI track in CMS. For each of the relevant software component versions, set the value in the Support Change List Transport column to False.

       5.      Save your changes.

Result

Open change lists of software component versions for which you have set the value to False will in future have the status Closed after they are released; changes will not be transferred to CMS. If a software component version contained any change lists with the status transportable before you made your change, you can either close them without transport on the Change Lists tab page or transport them by using CMS.
