Using the Session Management browser, you can monitor and manage sessions in the application server, including security sessions, HTTP sessions and EJB objects.

Prerequisites

You have started Session Management from   SAP NetWeaver Administrator   Configuration Management   Infrastructure   Session Management  .

Alternatively, you can access the function with the quick link: /nwa/sessionmgt.

Procedure

Managing Session Domains
  1. From the Instance drop-down list, choose the instance of the server process you want to monitor.

  2. In the Cluster Node drop-down list, specify the server process.

  3. Choose Session Domain tab.

  4. In the Domains screen area, you can view the tree of application domains for the particular server process. Each application has a domain in the respective context. If you expand the context node, you get a list of all domains registered in this context.

  5. In the Sessions per Domain screen area, you can find a list of all sessions belonging to the respective domain and detailed information about each session.

    • To refresh the list of sessions, choose Refresh.

    • To terminate a certain session, select it and choose Invalidate.

Administering Security Sessions
  1. To view security sessions on the specified server process, choose User Context tab. You get a list of all security sessions, that is, all the users on the server process. Each user is recognized by its context.

    • To refresh the list, choose Refresh .

    • To terminate a certain security session, select it and choose Kill. This will log out the user of this session.

  2. In the User Context Details screen area, you can find more information about the respective sessions of the user context.

    • To refresh the list of sessions, choose Refresh.

    • To terminate a certain session, select it and choose Invalidate .
