You can test Web services that are running on the local system or on a remote system. You can search for a Web service using a WSDL URL, a provider system name, a logical destination name, or the Services Registry.

Searching a Web Service by WSDL URL
  1. Choose the Service step on the Service Test tab page.

  2. In the Search Service Interfaces screen area, select WSDL.

  3. Enter the URL of the WSDL document.

  4. Choose Next.

Searching a Web Service by Provider System or Logical Destination
  1. Choose the Service step on the Service Test tab page.

  2. In the Search Service Interfaces screen area, select Provider System or Logical Destination.

  3. Enter the name of the Web service you want to test.

    You can use an asterisk (*) or a question mark (?) as wildcards in the search string.

  4. Select an available provider system or logical destination and choose Search.

  5. Select a Web service interface from the list and choose Next.

Searching a Web Service in Service Registry
  1. Choose the Service step on the Service Test tab page.

  2. In the Search Service Interfaces screen area, select Services Registry.

  3. In the Find field, enter the name of the Web service you want to test.

    You can use an asterisk (*) or a question mark (?) as wildcards in the search string. To narrow the scope of your search, you can choose search options from the Search by, State, and System dropdown lists. More information: Searching and Browsing Service Definitions

  4. Choose Go.

  5. Select a Web service interface from the list and choose Next.
