Once you have deployed a Web service on an application server, you can test the functionality of this Web service by using the Web Services Navigator (WS Navigator). The WS Navigator allows you to test a Web service without having a client for it.
In the WS Navigator, you can:
Test an individual operation of a selected service endpoint.
Collect and manage the data from individual service tests, and use to test multiple services at once.
You have a user account that is assigned to the Administrators group or the Administrator role, or which has the user management engine (UME) WSNavigator administrator action. More information: User Management of the Application Server Java
WS Navigator is allowed to access the systems on which the tested services run. More information: Configuring Web Services Navigator White List
When the system on which WS Navigator runs connects to the network using an HTTP proxy you should set the proxy configuration settings. More information: Configuring Proxy Settings
To start the WS Navigator, open a Web browser and enter the following address:
http://<host>:<port>/wsnavigator
Then enter your user name and password if required.
You can proceed with any of the following tasks:
Choose a Web service and test it manually. More information: Testing Services Manually
Test many Web services in a specific order using predefined input data. More information: Testing Services Using Test Scenarios
