You can manage the models that you created and saved in the local repository (your private models) and in the shared repository (public models) using the Manage Models task panel. If you have a supported source control system installed and configured for use with Visual Composer, you can also manage the models stored using source control (models checked in by you and also models checked in by other users). You can also create development components in the local repository.
The Manage Models task panel enables you to manipulate the models and development components in your Visual Composer development environment. You open the task panel by clicking the (Manage) task-panel toolbar button.
The parts of the task panel include:
Using the Display dropdown list, you can filter the display to show:
Visual Composer Models (composite views) only
Data Services used in the models in your development environment
All Components used in the models in your development environment
The main pane of the task panel, which displays a collapsed tree of the repositories in your source-control system. You can expand the branches of the tree to view and manipulate the software components, development components, and models.
The status pane at the bottom of the task panel displays information about the selected model. In addition, for models saved in the shared repository or in a source control system, this pane displays information such as the check-out status, check-out user, and sync status.
To manipulate your models in the Manage Models task panel, use the context menu for the selected item. The options available depend on the item currently selected in the tree. Standard options include: Open, Rename, Delete and Export. With source-control systems, you can perform functions that include: Add to Source Control, Check Out, Check In, Sync and Revert.
