By entering the endpoint WSDL of a service definition that provides a valid URL you can publish third-party service definitions to the Services Registry and classify them.

For services modeled in the Enterprise Services Repository or developed on the AS ABAP or the AS Java, the development infrastructures provide functions for publishing:

Prerequisites

For this function you need the user role SERVICES_REGISTRY_READ_WRITE.

Procedure

  1. In the Services Registry, choose the Service Definition tab and select Publish.

  2. In the Endpoint WSDL field and enter the endpoint WSDL URL.

    If the service requires authentication, enter a user name and a password.

    To add further information, select Next.

    To publish the service to the Services Registry select Finish .

  3. Choose Next and add a description and a documentation URL.

  4. Choose Next and enter details about the system that provides the service.

    If the providing system is already published to the Services Registry, select it.

    If the providing system is not yet published in the Services Registry, select New System and enter the system name, the host name and the system type (ABAP or Java).

  5. Choose Next and select the service state.

  6. Choose Next and classify the service.

  7. To publish the service to the Services Registry, choose Finish.
