The voice kit storyboard desktop is a client-side and browser-based graphical user interface. It has various options that allow you to model, compile, deploy, and debug your voice applications

Visual Composer Element

Use

Main menu

Provides you with options to create, modify, save, import and export voice models. It also provides standard edit options that allows you to cut, copy and paste voice models.

Main toolbar

Enables quick access to the most frequently used main menu options.

Model tab

Allows you to switch between the voice models that are open in the storyboard desktop.

Task-panel

Displays tools that are dynamic and context-driven.

For example, if you select Compose from the task-panel toolbar, the task-panel displays the voice entities that are used to compose a voice application.

Task-panel toolbar

Provides you with options that are most frequently used options when you create voice models. The detailed description of each of these follow:

  • Compose: This option allows you to add voice entities to your voice models.

  • Configure: This option allows you to configure your voice models or the entities of your voice models.

    For example: When you select an element such as Speakin your voice model and choose Configure, the Configure Speak window appears. This window allows you to configure the Speak element.

    When you choose the workspace of a model and select ConfiguretheConfigure Voice Application window appears. This window allows you to add the appropriate properties for the gateway driver, deployment details, resource targets and so on.

  • Search: This option allows you to locate BAPIs, RFCs, Web services, enterprise services, and other Visual Composer components. This is the only option in the VC that allows you to locate data services or components and include them in your voice application model.

  • Deploy: This option allows you to compile and deploy the voice model.

  • Browse: This option allows you to browse the portal repositories.

Workspace

Area of the storyboard desktop where you can layout the voice models.

Toolbox

Provides you with tools that allow you to resize, flip and rotate your voice models. The Show Grid tool adds a grid for your voice models.

Console

Area below the workspace. It provides users with error and warning messages that occur during design time. You can also use the console to display trace log information. By default, the console is not displayed. You can choose to show or hide it by using the   View   Console   menu option.

You can use the secondary mouse button to click the console and choose the following options:

  • Clear Pane: Deletes all displayed messages from the console

  • Copy to Clipboard: Copies the contents of the console to the Windows clipboard so that you can paste it into another application

  • Hide: Hides the console
