First Steps in User Management 

Use

After installation you need to add a few users so you can work with SAP NetWeaver Application Server (AS) Java.

Do not use the default administrator user to do all your configuration. For auditing purposes it is always better to use accounts associated with specific users.

You should also create a second default administrator in case your other administrator users get locked out. It is true that you can also activate the emergency user SAP* in a case like this. However, to activate SAP* you must restart the AS Java.

Prerequisites

You have started the AS Java.

Procedure

       1.      Start identity management.

       2.      Create one or more administrator users.

       3.      Assign the administrator users to the default administrators role.
