You use the Find Element References dialog box to search for references to a table, form, or connector. For example, a form may be referenced in a dynamic expression or in an action. This enables you to see where an element is in use, before you decide whether to delete it.
More information: Finding and Modifying References
You display the Find Element References dialog box by right-clicking a table, form, or connector icon on the Design board and choosing Find References from the context menu.
The Find Element References dialog box contains the following items:

Displays the name of the element for which you are searching, and the number of references that were found. For example, Found 2 references to Sales_Order. |
Refresh |
Searches through the open model for references to the selected view or connector and updates the list accordingly. |

The name and icon of the element that contains the reference. You can click the element name to highlight it on the Design board or Layout board. |

The name of the element property whose value contains the reference. |
Expression |
The reference string. The reference to the element is displayed in bold, for example, Customer_Data@address or =in2@origin=="add". |
Edit Expression |
Opens the relevant editor (for example, the Define Action dialog box, the Define Filter dialog box, or the Dynamic Expression Editor dialog box), so you can modify the reference. If you modify a reference in the Dynamic Expression Editor dialog box, the change is automatically reflected in the Find Element References dialog box. If you modify a reference in any other dialog box, the item is marked in gray. Click Refresh to update the Find Element References dialog box with the modified reference. |
