Procedure documentationDefining Services Registry Permissions Locate this document in the navigation structure

In a permission template, you can define security permissions that assign User Management Engine (UME) roles to classifications.

If a classified service definition is published to Services Registry and one or more permission templates exist for this classification, the user roles assigned to these permissions are then also relevant for the published service definition. The service definition can be accessed by users that have the according role assigned to their user. Changes to service definitions are only possible if the assigned role gives write access. In this way you are able to define different views for different users in Services Registry.

After defining a new security permission in Services Registry, services already existing in the registry, which classifications match the new permission, are not automatically updated. For this you have to republish these service definitions.

After defining a new security permission in Services Registry you might need to republish some service definitions. This applies for registered services whose classifications match the new permission. Since such services are not automatically updated you should publish them again.
