The Define Input step of the Service Component wizard enables you to define input ports and their types for the service component. For each input port, you can also define its fields. You can then use these fields when defining the conditions that result in different output (in the next step of the wizard).

The Define Input step contains the following items:

Description

Input Ports

Enables you to define and modify input ports and their types for the service component.

Add Port

Enables you to add an input port to the service component. You can add a port that contains either a Record or Record Set.

Delete Port

Deletes the currently selected port.

Rename Port

Enables you to enter a new name for the selected port.

Name

Displays the name of the ports. By default, the ports are named in1, in2, and so on.

Type

Displays the type of port, either Record or Record Set.

Fields

Enables you to define fields for the currently selected input port. You can use these fields when defining the conditions that specify when each Static Data connector is activated.
