Procedure documentation Creating a Layout  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

 

       1.      In the portal top-level navigation, choose Content Administration Portal Content.

       2.      In the Portal Catalog, expand Portal Content Templates.

       3.      Right-click the folder where you want to store the new layout, and choose New Layout.

       4.      Follow the instructions on each screen of the wizard.

Layout Properties

Enter the basic information and choose Next.

Layout Name

Enter the display name of the new layout.

The layout name may contain alphanumeric characters (a-z; A-Z; 0-9), underscores (_), dashes (-), dots (.), exclamation points (!), tildes (~), and parentheses. Do not include other special characters or spaces. The name must not exceed 40 characters.

Layout ID

Enter a unique identifier for the new layout.

The layout name may contain alphanumeric characters (a-z; A-Z; 0-9), underscores (_), dashes (-), dots (.), exclamation points (!), tildes (~), and parentheses. Do not include other special characters or spaces. The name must not exceed 40 characters.

Layout ID Prefix

You can enter a uniform prefix to the layout name so that your layouts follow a specific naming convention.

Master Language

Choose the master language for the new layout.

The master language is the original language in which the properties of the object are generated and maintained.

Choose a Template

Select a template on which to base the new layout.

Table: Start from a new table by specifying the number of columns and rows.

Existing Template: Select an existing template.

Design Layout

Add rows and columns to the layout and choose Apply.

Adjust Layout

Use the arrow buttons to resize individual cells.

Summary

Review the options you selected for the new layout.

Click Finish to create the layout.

 

Result

The new layout is stored in the Portal Content Directory (PCD) and displayed in the Portal Catalog.
