Accessing Information Provided via WSIL

Web Service Inspection Language (WSIL) describes Web services at a functional level. WS-Inspection lists groups of Web services and their endpoints in an XML format.

The user can access WSIL document using the following Web address:

http://<host name>:<port>/inspection.wsil

To allow the user to read WSIL document, have to assign WSIL role to this user.

Prerequisites

Log on to SAP NetWeaver Identity Management.

To create roles and users, you must be assigned a role that includes the relevant actions.

Procedure

Creating WSIL Role

In the Search Criteria dropdown list, choose Action, then enter *wsil* in the text field.

Choose Go.

The system should check and respond if there is a WSILSecurityRole action from tc~esi~esp~wsil application.
In the Search Criteria dropdown list, choose Role, and then choose Create Role.
On the General Information tab, in the Unique Name field, enter READ_WSIL.
In the Description field, enter description about the role.
Choose the Assigned Action tab.
On the Available Actions screen area, in the Get field, enter WSILSecurityRole, then choose Go.

Note

WSILSecurityRole action has only permissions to read the WSIL document.

In the Available Actions table, select WSILSecurityRole action, and then choose Add.
Choose Save.

Assigning WSIL Role to User

Depending on the existing users in the system, do one of the following:
- To create a new user, proceed as follows:
  1. In the Search Criteria dropdown list, choose User, and then choose Create User.
  2. On the General Information tab, fulfill the required data.
- To use an existing user, proceed as follows:
  1. In the Search Criteria dropdown list, choose User, and then enter the name of the user in the text field.
    
    Choose Go.
  2. In the result table, select the user you want.
Choose the Assigned Groups tab.
In the Available Groups table, assign to the user the following groups:
- Everyone
- Authenticated Users
This way the user receives credentials for the READ_WSIL role.
Choose Save.
