Procedure documentation Working with Reused Components  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

On the Portal Layout board, a reused model appears inside another model. Examples are an iView that you dragged into a page or a Business Suite view created inside a work center. Visual Composer creates tabs for each model so that when multiple models are open you can access any one of them for editing, without closing the model you are currently working on. However, reused models are not automatically displayed in their own model tabs.

This section explains how to access reused models, remove references to them, rename them, and edit their properties.

Prerequisites

A model is open containing one or more referenced models.

Procedure

Right-clicking a referenced model opens a context menu from which you can choose:

·        Drill Down to open the referenced model in its own model tab, which you can use to access the model for editing

·        Remove to remove the reference to the model (the reused model itself is not deleted)

A request for confirmation appears.

·        Rename to change the name of the model

...

The model name (in its tab or its title in the navigation panel) is changed to an editable text field. After changing the name, press Enter or click anywhere on the Portal Layout board.

·        Configure to open the Configure task panel for the model to access its properties

Note

You can view and edit properties only for reused components which were modeled in Visual Composer.
