The Configure Output step of the Entry List wizard enables you to select the data service port and fields that provide the items for the entry list. It also enables you to add additional static items to the list.

The Configure Output step contains the following items:

Item

Description

Output port

The port of the data service that returns the values you want to use to populate the entry list.

Cluster node

The source node of the clustered dataset that contains the field whose values you want to use for the entry list. You can either select a specific node, or select [root] to use the root node of the dataset.

This option is only displayed if the selected output port contains a clustered dataset.

Output Field

Displays the VALUE and the TEXT rows to define the two fields that correspond to the actual value returned and the text to be displayed in the list.

Assigned Value

The fields used to provide the items for the entry list. The VALUE row is the field from which the value should be taken and the TEXT row is the field from which the item display text should be taken.

Additional entries

Enables you to define additional static entries to be added above the dynamic entries in the entry list. When you select this checkbox, the items listed below are displayed.

Value

The unique field value that is transferred at runtime.

Display Text

The value that is displayed in the control for selection at runtime.

Add Row

Adds another entry to the list.

Delete Row

Removes the highlighted row from the list.

Move Up

Moves the highlighted item one place up in the list.

Move Down

Moves the highlighted item one place down in the list.
