Server-side Development Infrastructure Client
(New)
The SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI) combines the features and benefits of a local development environment(s) with a server-supported development landscape which provides a consistent central environment, that is, a local integrated development environment (IDE) is enhanced with a set of central services. The central services provide the development teams with a consistent local development environment and the necessary infrastructure for development though the entire lifecycle of a product.
The Server-side Development Infrastructure Client (SDIC) service provides a unified API to the NWDI that allows for location and service transparency. The initial focus of the SDIC is to provide a server aware application programming interface for Server-side Integrated Development Environments (SIDE).
Any server-side IDE which needs to have integrated versioning or build or logistics support from NWDI needs to use SDIC for integration.
The SDIC is a new tool that allows you to administrate the Server-side Integrated Development Environment (SIDE) in your system landscape. The tool is integrated in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator tool.
Easier orchestration of the development environments registered in the landscape, overview of the NWDI servers (if any), registered in the landscape.
