Initial Configuration Tasks
This section provides a set of initial tasks you should perform in the portal after you have installed it and successfully logged on for the first time. A reference to where you can find detailed information for each task is specified.
● If you are running SAP NetWeaver 7.1, you have installed usage type EP Core (EPC).
If you are running SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1, you have installed the portal component.

1. Perform the mandatory tasks. See Mandatory Tasks.
2. Analyze the optional tasks and perform those that are relevant to your system landscape. See Optional Tasks.
Once you have completed these tasks, the super administrator may proceed with performing additional first-time integration tasks. For more information, see Super Administration.
