Role: Standard User (eu_role) 

Use

The Standard User role contains default non-administrative runtime content for portal users. It includes basic functionality (portal personalization iViews) for the core portal platform and default content for the Universal Work (UWL), knowledge management, and collaboration capabilities of SAP NetWeaver. Note that knowledge management and collaboration capabilities are not shipped with all SAP NetWeaver releases.

By default, the Everyone group in the portal is assigned to this role. For guidelines and recommendations for using this role, see Every User Roles.

Structure

The content of the Standard User role is structured as follows:

○       Portal Information (page with Welcome iViews)

At runtime, these worksets are populated by the Home worksets of KMC using smart merging technology. The MergeID of this workset is: com.sap.portal.home.

At runtime, these worksets are populated by the Home worksets of UWL using smart merging technology. The MergeID of this workset is: com.sap.portal.home. UWL provides business users with runtime data, such as tasks, alerts, notifications, and tracking information.
