To administer the database instance, requests must be made from the SAP system to the DBM server. In this case, the communication takes place by means of the Database Manager operator (DBM operator). The storage of user data for the DBM operator can be either centralized or decentralized (see Central/Decentral Authorization).

 

If the DBM operator information is to be changed, or a new user is to be added, follow the procedure described in User Data (OLTP/liveCache).
