Before you can start to model your voice-enabled application, you must ensure that the voice environment has been configured and set up by your administrator. You also need to make some preliminary and critical application settings.
The following configuration and administration tasks have been carried out:
...
● The SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment and optional Voice add-ons have been installed.
● The third-party voice gateway has been configured.
● The back-end system and Web service destinations in the J2EE server have been configured.
● Any stored audio files have been made available by HTTP.
● The SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence has been configured (optional).
1. In the work area, click the background of your voice application.
2. On the task panel, choose Configure.
The Configure fields consist of values required for successful compilation and deployment, as well as defaults that apply throughout the application.
The Configure Voice Application fields become visible only after clicking the background of the Design Board.
If you have selected an element on the Design Board, you also need to click the background to show Configure Voice Application. Otherwise the configuration settings for the selected element will appear.
3. In the Runtime field, select Voice.
4. Choose Settings to define Context Entities that apply as defaults over the entire application.
These default apply throughout the entire application, unless specifically overridden by child Voice Components or Listen elements.

Set the Driver to the setting that matches your installed VoiceXML gateway
If you select Default the gateway that has been configured by your server administrator as the default is used.
If no gateway has been configured, the default is the Voxeo Prophecy 7.0 gateway, which can be downloaded and installed free of charge at voxeo.com.
Unless you already know that your specific application will require other settings, set the following fields to their defaults:
● Logging to normal
● Barge-in to true
● Input mode to Voice+DTMF
