Creating a Model 

Use

You create a model in a specific location in the development server. When you create a model, you also choose its type, for example, Composite View or Service Component.

Prerequisites

A development component is available for saving your model. If not, create one following the procedure in Creating a Model and Development Component.

       1.      Choose Model → New. In the Create New Model dialog box, choose the model type, enter a name for the model, and choose the repository, the software component, and the development component in which you want to store the model.

       2.      Click OK.

Result

The Design board is displayed with an empty canvas ready for you to begin creating the model content.
