Creating RFC Destinations in SAP BI
1. Launch SAP BI and choose SAP menu → Tools →Administration → Administration →Network → RFC Destinations.
2. Select RFC Destination Type – TCP/IP Connections and choose Create.
3. Define the RFC destination name and select RFC Destination Type.
4. Close to the connection type field pushbutton, select T from the Type column.
5. Define an RFC destination and describe it in in Description 1.
6. On the MDMP & Unicode tab page, enable Unicode.

If the flag is not enabled in the SAP BI system you are using, then skip step 6.
7. In Technical Settings, do the following:
a. Define the program ID under Registered Server Program.
The program ID should be equal to the program ID defined for the RFC destination on the Application Server (AS) Java.

b. Define Gateway host and Gateway service.
The gateway host and service should be the same as the gateway host and service defined in RFC destinations on the AS Java.
8. Choose Save.
9. To test the connection, choose Test connection.
If a connection is available, you can see a table containing information on connection type and speed.
