Using a Web Dynpro Page Layout 

After you create a Web Dynpro layout component and deploy it, you can create a layout template and assign the layout to Web Dynpro pages.

Prerequisites

●     A Web Dynpro page layout was deployed to the portal.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the portal, go to Content Administration → Portal Content.

       2.      From the Web Dynpro Application Repository, copy the deployed layout and paste it into the PCD.

       3.      In the new layout in the PCD, edit the object and change the Object is a Template property to Yes.

Result

The layout can now be assigned to pages.
