Configuring CAF Repository Managers for Troubleshooting 

Use

You may need to search for the CAF security manager for development purposes or for troubleshooting. The CAF repository and document repository managers use the CAF security manager to control access to the repositories data.

Procedure

       1.      Logon to the SAP NetWeaver Portal with http://<host>:<port>/irj.

Remember to replace <host> and <port> with the machine name of the portal you are using.

       2.      Navigate to System Administration → System Configuration → Knowledge Management → Content Management → Repository Managers.

To configure the CAF security manager for troubleshooting, go to CAF Repository and do the following:

                            a.      Select the CAF repository manager from the list and choose Edit.

                            b.      From the Security Manager dropdown box, select AclSecurityManager.

The ACL security manager gives you access to the more technical details within CAF repositories.

                            c.      Choose Show Advanced Options and disable the indicator Hide in Root Folder.

To configure the CAF document repository manager for troubleshooting, go to CM Repository and do the following:

 

                            a.      Select documents_xapps from the list and choose Edit.

                            b.      Repeat steps b and c as above.
