Workflow 

The following are the tasks for creating OBN navigation:

●      The developer creates an application with one of the following:

○       An OBN link that specifies a business object, or a business object and operation, as described in the following:

■       Creating an OBN Link (Portal Runtime)

■       Creating an OBN LInk (Web Dynpro)

○       A context menu that provides all the possible OBN links for a specific business object and the current user, as described in the following:

■       Creating an OBN Dropdown Menu

●      The administrator does the following tasks that affect what navigation target is displayed for an OBN navigation link:

○       Creates business objects, and creates operations for each business object.

○       Assigns iViews and pages to the operations.

The OBN administration tasks are described in Object-Based Navigation.

The administrator is also responsible for creating roles and assigning users to roles. This task is not specific to OBN, and is described in Roles and Worksets and Role Assignment.
