Configuring Composite Application
Framework
To enable users to work with the Composite Application Framework (CAF) administrative tools, you must have permissions to manage users in the User Management Engine (UME). You have to assign the users to the CAF roles SAP_CAF_ADMIN and SAP_CAF_DEVELOPER.

To configure CAF to use Knowledge Management’s indexing and storage capabilities, you need permissions for:
● Config Tool of the Application Server Java (AS Java).
● Browser-based configuration user interfaces in the SAP NetWeaver Portal.
