Configuring Metadata Access (Receiver Channels Only)Locate this document in the navigation structure

Use

With the following settings you specify how the Web service consumer accesses the metadata of the Web service provider that is configured by the receiver channel.

Note

The attributes for metadata access are only displayed for receiver channels and non-local calls.

Note

The Web service consumer can either be the Integration Server (in the case of enhanced communication) or the backend sender system (in the case of direct communication).

The Web service consumer needs to know:

  • Whether authentication is required to access the metadata

  • Whether the WSDL file is to be accessed using HTTP or HTTPS.

Procedure

Enter the required settings.

You have the following options:

Authentication Method for WSDL Access

Specifies how the Web service consumer must identify themself for access to the WSDL file.

You can make the following settings:

No Authentication

Standard authentication using HTTP

You must specify a username and password (below) for this setting.

Username for WSDL Access

Specifies the name and password for the service user for standard authentication using HTTP.

Password for WSDL Access

URL Protocol

Specifies the transport security for metadata access.

You can choose between HTTP and HTTPS.

WSDL-Access URL

If the receiver system is a non-SAP system then you must specify the WSDL URL explicitly.
