-s: Displaying Client InformationLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

Use this option to display the information of a pure client installation.

You can use the -s option for the following commands:

DBM command

Client information displayed

-s help

Displaying the list of DBM commands that can be carried out by the DBM client

-s dbm_version

Displaying the version of the client installation used

-s dbm_getpath

Displaying the directories of the client software installation

-s inst_enum

Displaying the list of the registered versions of the client software on the computer

-s db_drop

Deleting the specified database using the DBMDROP program which does not require the password of the database administrator

If you do not specify the -s option together with these commands, the DBMCLI client connects to the DBM server of the highest available server installation on the current computer.

Prerequisites

You are logged on to a pure DBM client. There is no DBM server in this installation.
