Understanding the Rules Manager User InterfaceLocate this document in the navigation structure

Concept

The Rules Manager user interface (UI) provides intuitive and easy to use tools to manage and update the rules project built using the Rules Composer at runtime.

The default view in the Rules Manager UI is called the Rules Manager view. The Rules Manager view acts as a template for the Rules Manager and contains the names of all the rules project available in the repository.

The project property is displayed when a project is selected.

Note

The project property gets displayed only if you have full permission to access the business rules project. More information: Setting Access Control for Business Rules Project

Note

You can open your project only either in active or latest version.

More information: Opening a Project .

Rules Navigator View

The project property table is replaced by the Rule Navigator view when a project is opened. The Rule Navigator view displays the project as a node in the left side of the Rules Manager view.

Editor Window

The Editor Window displays the currently selected entity from the Rule Navigator view. The project node is the root node in the Rule Navigator view. When a project is selected in the Rule Navigator view, the project overview opens in the Editor Window . Using the project overview, you can open, edit or delete any of the rulesets or flow rulesets. You can also edit the project's comment.
