The portal offers a variety of options for communicating and collaborating with other portal users:

In collaboration rooms, groups of users can exchange context-based applications and information. BEx objects and BW objects can also be included. More information:Working with Virtual Rooms.

Discussions enable an exchange of ideas about specific topics using a document in Knowledge Management. Using BEx Information Broadcasting, you can store BEx Web applications as precalculated documents or links in Knowledge Management. You can have discussions based on these documents and links. More information:Working with Forums and Discussions.

In addition to collaboration, Knowledge Management offers various functions for working with documents. You can add ratings, evaluations, feedback or personal notes to documents. More information:Functions for Objects in KM Folders.

Notifications are particularly interesting for precalculated documents automatically generated with BEx Information Broadcasting. Notifications can automatically inform users about changes (such as a new precalculation). More information:Notifications for Folders in the Universal Worklist andNotifications.
