Context Menu for Selected CellLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

The context menu provides access to OLAP functions (if available for the selected cell) in analysis mode, and allows you to delete an item and access its properties in design mode.  If you cannot access the context menu with the right mouse button (secondary mouse button), you can access it with this menu function.

Activity

In analysis mode, you can perform OLAP functions using the context menu for the analysis grid and navigation pane design items.  The contents of the context menu depends on the type of cell currently selected.

In design mode, you can select a design item and then delete it or access its properties using the context menu.  Whether in analysis mode or design mode, you can access the context menu using this menu function as well as with the right mouse button.

Activities
  • Within the worksheet, navigate, using the mouse or keyboard, to select the cell that contains the data or design item you want to operate on.
  • In the menu, choose BEx Analyzer → Context Menu for Selected Cell.

In analysis mode, the context menu that provides access to the OLAP functions for the selected cell (if available) appears.  See alsoContext Menu Functions.
