Concept for Handling Non-Active Data When Using the SAP HANA Database (New)

To optimize usage of the main memory in SAP HANA, the concept of non-active data has been introduced in the BW system. This optimization is supported in SAP HANA Support Package 5 and higher. When bottlenecks occur in the main memory, this concept makes it possible to push data from persistent staging area tables and write-optimized DataStore object tables out of the main memory. If there is a large quantity of non-active data belonging to these object types, this has a positive effect on the hardware sizing.
