Scheduling a TaskLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You use this procedure to schedule the tasks related to validation and system checks using the Job Management application, which is a part of Automation Wizard Administration . These tasks are available to you as executable templates.

Note

Job Management application automates the execution of a scheduled task.

Prerequisites

You are assigned the SAP_J2EE_ADMIN role.

Procedure
  1. Log on to the SAP NetWeaver Administrator application.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Operation Management  Next navigation step Processes and Tasks Next navigation step Automation Wizard Administration  Next navigation step Job Management Next navigation step Schedule Task.  End of the navigation path

  3. From the List of Schedulable Tasks table, select the task that you need to schedule and choose Execute .

  4. In the Configuration Wizard Overview window, specify the required parameters such as the frequency, time interval of job execution, and so on.

  • You can view the status of the scheduled jobs by choosing Start of the navigation path Operation Management  Next navigation step Processes and Tasks  Next navigation step Automation Wizard Administration Next navigation step  Job Management Next navigation step View Scheduled Jobs. End of the navigation path

  • You can view the execution log and see the technical details by choosing View Log .
