Creating List and Column HeadingsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You use this procedure to create your own list and column headings for lists in a program.

Procedure
  1. In the Object Navigator (transaction SE80), open the program you want to edit.
  2. Choose Goto → Text elements → List Headings.
  3. In the corresponding fields, enter the text for the list and column headings.

The list heading can be up to 70 characters long. Each of the four columns of the Column Heading field can be up to 255 characters long.

  4. Save your entries.
    Note

In the list and column headings, you can enter up to 10 placeholders &0 to &9, each followed by up to 18 periods. The system replaces the placeholders in the TOP-OF-PAGE event with the contents of the system fields SY-TVAR0 to SY-TVAR9. The displayed length of the system fields is the length of the placeholder plus the following periods. For example, a placeholder "&3……" displays the contents of SY-TVAR3 and the heading is eight characters long.
