Use

You create the necessary indexes to enable business objects to be indexed for the search.

This step has to be performed during the initial configuration and after every system installation, even when the system was created by means of a copying process or if the Customizing was imported from another system.

Prerequisite

The user with which you log onto the system must be assigned to one of the following authorization roles:

  • SAP_BC_SES_ADMIN
  • SAP_BC_SXES_ADMIN
Procedure
  1. In the AS ABAP, start transaction SES_ADMIN and choose Menu → Index → Create Indexes.
  2. Choose Select All and then Next.
Result

The system automatically generates the required index IDs and creates the indexes in the TREX system. The indexes are displayed in the index monitor of transaction SES_ADMIN.
