Prerequisites

You are authorized to access the portal role containing the Federated Portal workset.

Note

The functionality described in this topic does not apply to an SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment system without usage type EP Core - Application Portal (EPC).

To facilitate the creation of FPN connections, you can define default HTTP/HTTPS, RMI-P4, and external network connection settings of your systems once in the FPN Control Panel, and then reuse those settings in the FPN Connection wizard without having to enter them again. Note that, if necessary, you can still modify the default connection settings of your system when they are displayed in the FPN Connection wizard.

This procedure is optional.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to Start of the navigation path System Administration Next navigation step Federated Portal Next navigation step SAP NetWeaver - FPN Connections Next navigation step Control Panel End of the navigation path.
  2. Choose the Default Settings of My System tab.
  3. Enter the HTTP/HTTPS, RMI-P4, and external network settings of your system.

  4. Save your changes.
