Use

The ergonomics check function in the Menu Painter examines all the GUI statuses in your program for correctness, syntax errors, and completeness. After the ergonomics check, you can have errors corrected. The ergonomics check is based on norms defined in the SAP Style Guide and depends on the attributes that you have assigned to the subobjects in the interface. To reach the SAP Style Guide, choose Utilities → Help Texts → Standards/Proposals.

Procedure
  1. Open the Menu Painter for the relevant GUI status.
  2. To start the check, choose User Interface → Check → Ergonomics.

The system displays the result of the check procedure in the form of a hierarchical tree structure. The results of the check are sorted by priority.

  3. Open the appropriate node in the tree display.
  4. Choose an object from the check list by double-clicking it.

The system opens the corresponding work area in the Menu Painter.

  5. Switch to change mode and correct the error.
  6. Choose  with the quick info text Back to return to the tree display.

Further Information

To see more information about an error, select a node in the hierarchy tree and choose  with the quick info text Error Documentation. The system also displays information about how to correct the error. If you select one of the Priority nodes, the system displays the general documentation.
