Scheduler Tasks for Time-Dependent Publishing

Use

Two scheduler tasks are used for time-dependent publishing. They check at defined intervals whether documents are valid for the corresponding publication time period, and whether a notification has to be sent before the lifetime of the document has expired.

The time-dependent publishing service is activated.

The definition of scheduler tasks for time-dependent publishing comprises the following parameters:

Activities

You must specify once only on which content management system, or on which two content management systems in a load-balancing environment, the three scheduler tasks for time-dependent publishing are to be run.

You can have the system run the three tasks on a single content management system or assign the tasks to different content management systems.

To assign a Content Management system to the scheduler tasks, choose Content Management → Global Services → Scheduler Tasks →Check Valid From or Check Valid Until.

If required, you can specify other times at which the tasks are to be carried out (see Scheduler Times ).

You should not change any other parameters.
