Performing a Room CleanupLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

Use the Room Cleanup report to search for partially-deleted rooms. The workspaces of partially-deleted rooms that are found can either be deleted or moved to a backup folder. It also detects lost room parts and tries to relink them, or deletes them if they cannot be relinked.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, choose Start of the navigation path Content Administration Next navigation step KM Content Next navigation step Toolbox Next navigation step Reports Next navigation step Consistency Checks End of the navigation path.
  2. In the Room Cleanup report, choose the type of execution:
    • Immediate execution: Start

    • Repeated execution: Schedule

  3. Enter the name of the execution.
  4. Only for repeated execution: Define and activate the schedule.
  5. You can configure the following settings for this report on the Parameter tab:

    Description

    Delete Partially-Deleted Rooms

    If you select this parameter, all partially-deleted rooms and their workspaces will be deleted.

    Force Deletion of Locked Resources

    If you select this parameter, all locked resources of the partially-deleted rooms will be deleted.

    Note

    Note that you have to select the Delete Partially-Deleted Rooms parameter so the Force Deletion of Locked Resources parameter can take effect.

    Move Workspaces From Partially-Deleted Rooms To Folder

    If you select this parameter, the workspaces of the partially-deleted rooms will be moved to the backup folder that is specified in the Target Folder for Backup field.

    Target Folder for Backup

    Specifies the folder that should be used for backup.

    Limit to Rooms with IDs (csv)

    Specifies the comma-separated values of IDs for the partially-deleted rooms that should be checked.

  6. For immediate execution, choose Start or save your settings for report execution according to the schedule.

Results

The system runs the report according to the settings. Once the report has finished, you can view the result by choosing the name of the report from the list of the reports. You can find this list when you choose Start of the navigation path Content Administration Next navigation step KM Content Next navigation step Toolbox Next navigation step Reports Next navigation step Consistency Checks Next navigation step Room Cleanup End of the navigation path. If you want to see the reports exported in the XML files choose Start of the navigation path Content Administration Next navigation step KM Content Next navigation step root Next navigation step Reporting Next navigation step Reports Next navigation step Content Administration Next navigation step Consistency Checks Next navigation step Room Cleanup End of the navigation path or open the View Report Result screen by choosing the report and then from the ID parameter choosing the XML file.
