The TREX Java client needs to know the address of the TREX name server in order to communicate with the TREX servers. The following procedure describes how you determine the address and enter it into the configuration settings for the TREX Java client.
The TREX Java client communicates with the TREX server using HTTP and TCP/IP. Make sure that the TCP port that the name server uses is open.
- You can determine the address of the TREX name server in two ways:
- Open the configuration file <TREX_DIR>/<hostname>/sapprofile.ini on the TREX host. Determine the name server port that is entered in the parameter TREX/NameServer/Port.
- Start the TREX admin tool (see Starting the TREX Admin Tool) and determine the address of the name server using Landscape Tree → topology → globals → all_masters.
- Enter the address of the TREX name server into the SAP NetWeaver Administrator.
