Active-Passive High Availability Setup for IBM i

In this setup, you maintain a duplicate of the active database through mirroring. When the original database fails, you can quickly resume operations with the mirror copy. Mirrored databases are updated constantly. Mirroring is performed synchronously or asynchronously. In a synchronous setup, replication is considered successful only if the active database has received acknowledgement from the replicated database.
