Checking RolesLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

If you cannot perform certain tasks using SOA Manager, you may not have the appropriate authorization. This may be because the roles assigned to you are not up-to-date.

To check whether you are working with the latest versions of the roles for SOA Manager, perform the following steps.

Procedure

Checking the Roles

  1. Start the profile generator (transaction PFCG).

  2. Specify a role.

  3. Choose Display .

  4. Go to the Authorizations tab.

  5. Choose Display Authorization Data .

    The authorization objects are displayed.

  6. Check whether the role is the latest version.

    The status indicates whether the authorizations are up-to-date.

Updating a Role

  1. Start the profile generator (transaction PFCG).

  2. From the main menu, choose Start of the navigation path Role Next navigation step Upload End of the navigation path.

  3. Select the relevant decompressed file, and start the upload.
