Changes made to ABAP Web Services:

The following new features and changes have been implemented:

SOA Manager

The navigation of the Web Service Configuration page has been updated and improved. You can switch to the previous version using the link that appears at the top of the window when you first open the page. The option of switching to the old version is provided with every session of SOA Manager.

Caution The new user interface for Web Service Configuration allows more security settings to be configured than in the previous version. If you configure any web service settings that are only available in the new user interface, you can no longer make changes to the Web service using the old interface.

See Configuring Service Providers and Consumers

WSDL Flavors

WSDL “flavors” gives you the option to make your generated WSDL files compatible with other systems.

See WSDL Generation

Eventing

Event providers now support sequencing. You can program sequencing into your application for event messages, just as you would if using a standard consumer proxy.

See General Information on Sequences

Subscribers for child event messages can be removed in the Web Services Messages Monitor when errors occur.
