Configuring the Sender System to Process IDocsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

  • You have configured the resource adapter and JCA connection factory in SAP NetWeaver Administrator. To configure these entities, you have to have a user that belongs to the NWA_SUPERADMIN role.

  • To configure and operate Java IDoc processing on the sender business systems, you must have a user account with profile S_ENTWBC .

  • The sender business systems must be registered in the system landscape directory.

  • The software component version SAP BASIS 7.30 in the Enterprise Service Repository (ESR) of the SAP NetWeaver Process Integration system contains the correct adapter metadata (AMD) of the Java IDoc adapter. You must ensure that this software component exists in the corresponding ESR.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the sender business system.
  2. Create an RFC destination on the sender system.

    You create a TCP/IP connection to the sender system.

  3. Create an RFC destination for the sender system on the adapter engine using NWA.
