Managing the Application LifecycleLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have created mobile service components, UI components, or application components.

Context

You use this procedure to change the version number of the mobile component descriptor.

Recommendation

You can change the version numbers of the mobile components in the following order:

  1. Service component

  2. UI component

  3. Application component

This is to ensure that the version number of the dependent components is also changed.

Procedure

  1. In the Mobile Application for Handhelds perspective, choose the required development component from any of the Explorer tab pages.
  2. From the context menu, choose Start of the navigation path Deployment descriptors Next navigation step Open MCD Editor End of the navigation path.

    1. On the Overview tab page, choose Open file in XML Editor .

    2. On the mcd.xml tab page, expand the mobile component node.

    3. Update the mcd_version .

    4. Save the changes.

  3. Build the component.
  4. Log on to the SAP NetWeaver AS system, and start transaction SDOE_UPLOAD_ARCHIVE .

    1. On the Upload SDA and SCA Archives screen, browse to the SDA file that you want to upload.

    2. Choose Upload .
