Manual Upgrade of SAP Host AgentLocate this document in the navigation structure

You can manually upgrade SAP Host Agent from a downloaded SAPHOSTAGENT<SP-version>.SAR archive in one of the following ways:

  • You do not extract the downloaded SAPHOSTAGENT<SP-version>.SAR archive and run saphostexec -upgrade -archive or hostexecstart -upgrade from the hostctrl directory specifying the location of the downloaded SAPHOSTAGENT<SP-version>.SAR archive.

  • You extract the downloaded SAPHOSTAGENT<SP-version>.SAR archive to a temporary directory and run saphostexec -upgrade from this directory.
